Faery poetry

Épi de Malice (Ortie's creations) is a soft and wild poem all at once, made in yarn as much as in images. Fae accessories, alternative fashion, in felted, dyed, crocheted, woven or knitted wool... Alongside illustrated works inspired by nature and fairytales

The origins

Epi de Malice has existed since 2012 in the mind of its creator, and officially since 2014 with the launch of  boutiques on the Etsy and late ALittleMarket platforms, which respectively reached almost 600 sales on one and more than 400 on the other, earning a shower of stars from satisfied customers from all over the world.

Epi de Malice has become a renowned brand that offers colorful and original creations, handcrafted in Beyne-Heusay (Liège, Belgium) using the techniques of wool work; by treating it, dyeing it, spinning it, weaving it, crocheting it, knitting it, felting it... Ortie, the designer, can also incorporate recycled materials. The wool used is local or European, certified ethical and ecological. Dyes are in no way harmful to the environment or to humans, because they combine the knowledge of pigments with the simple but effective fixing power of vinegar.

This unique blend of techniques gives life to inimitable items of superior quality at prices that respect the time spent creating them and the cost of the materials used (and for which installment payments can also be offered.)

Illustrator graduated in 2012, her first passion is that of drawing and watercolors, which is why in addition to textile creations and jewelry, you will find in the shop works of art for sale and reproductions (postcards, posters, mugs ...). All these items are also visible on certain occasions, at certain craft markets and medieval festivals (see the dates and latest news tab).

Ortie is also a qualified librarian-documentalist since 2016 and an experienced archivist. An avid writer of fantasy and a fan of mythologies, folklore and tales from which she draws great inspiration for her creations. Both small and large History, real and imaginary, have nourished the inner creative world of this young autistic woman since childhood.

Although hard hit by the floods of 2021, the shop continues and persists thanks to the support of its unwavering community (thank you!!) mainly present on the very active and close-knit Facebook group " Epi de Malice & Co! "
